The Canon 7 is a professional 35mm focal-plane shutter rangefinder camera produced by Canon Inc. from 1961 to 1965. It is highly celebrated for its massive, bright viewfinder that features selectable mechanical framelines and a built-in, dual-range selenium light meter. Designed to compete directly with Leica’s legendary M-series, the Canon 7 features an M39 screw mount alongside a specialized outer bayonet ring, engineered specifically to host the record-breaking Canon 50mm f/0.95 "Dream Lens".
