Reuse

Checked 21 October 2026

Ilford says whether Ilford ID-11 may be reused depends on how it is used.

  • stock may be reused
  • 1+1 use once
  • 1+3 use once

Longer time for reuse: +10 % development time for each successive film in a litre (N, N+10 %, N+20 % ...), up to N+90 % for film 10.

Capacity, as the maker states it: 10 x 135/36 or 120 films per litre of stock solution when reused without replenishment.

The table below gives the number of 135/36 or 120 roll films a litre of stock PERCEPTOL, ID-11 and MICROPHEN can process provided that the developer is reused. ... We do not recommend reusing diluted developers, 1+1 and 1+3, always use fresh solutions on each occasion.

Know a time for ID-11 that is missing here, or spotted one that is wrong? Tell us, with the source, and a curator will check it.

  • Sources only. We publish a time only when it has been read off a primary source: the maker’s datasheet or chart. A link to it is what lets us check yours.
  • Nothing goes up by itself. Every report is read by a person before anything on the page changes.
  • No account needed. Your name and email are optional, and only to reply to you.
What would you like to send?

A datasheet, the maker’s chart or technical publication. Forums and blogs can’t be checked the same way.
