D96 B&W Motion Picture Developer

B&W developer Powder In production Reusable in some cases

Development times

No development times published yet

Nothing is filled in with a guess here. A time is published only once it has been read off a primary source, because a plausible wrong time costs somebody a roll they cannot reshoot.

Reuse

Checked 21 October 2026

CineStill says whether CineStill D96 B&W Motion Picture Developer may be reused depends on how it is used.

Longer time for reuse: +20 seconds for each roll previously processed in 1 litre of reusable stock solution.

With reuse the developer exhausts and will show a fall in contrast ... adding +20 seconds per roll previously processed in 1 liter of reusable stock solution. ... For further reduced contrast use 1+1 single-use dilution just like any one shot developer.

A dash means the figure has not been read off the maker’s sheet. A guess here would produce wrong answers silently.

Know a time for D96 B&W Motion Picture Developer that is missing here, or spotted one that is wrong? Tell us, with the source, and a curator will check it.

  • Sources only. We publish a time only when it has been read off a primary source: the maker’s datasheet or chart. A link to it is what lets us check yours.
  • Nothing goes up by itself. Every report is read by a person before anything on the page changes.
  • No account needed. Your name and email are optional, and only to reply to you.
What would you like to send?

A datasheet, the maker’s chart or technical publication. Forums and blogs can’t be checked the same way.
